June 19, 2013     Bryter Layter Bryter Layter was originally released on 1 November 1970 in the UK, and in the US in 1977. When Bryter Layter was released in the UK, Island records was changing the design of their labels, from the pink label to the palm tree label, also called the pink rim label. There have been suggestions that the album was pressed with the pink label just before the change. Numerically speaking such pressings should exist, since records with later catalogue number are known to exist on the pink label, but so far no copy of it has surfaced.
